Welcome to the second Blues Holiday Weekend – ‘Hexentanz’ in Bavaria, Germany!
Following the success of our last event, we are happy to be able to present you with more magic, dancing and unforgettable experiences.
Join us for a weekend of relaxing, dancing, connecting and fun at a lovely castle near lake Chiemsee.

We want to create a relaxing and comfortable environment for everyone to share, get inspired and dance untill sunrise.
This is an event from dancers for dancers, and anyone else who wants to spend time with us. Together we will create a safe environment where you can just be yourself. You decide for yourself how much you want to be involved and what you want to do. We will cook together, dance, there will be skill shares, walks in nature and much, much more. Everyone can help in the process of making this an unforgettable weekend.

How to participate
Everyone is encouraged to participate in a way that suits them best. Please bring in your ideas for activities, decoration etc. everything that will make your and your fellow participant’s experience more amazing. If you don’t know what you can contribute, think about things you like and do and maybe you can share them with others.
As this event needs participation we expect everyone to contribute approximately 2 hours per day to the community in the form of skill shares, kitchen duty, decorating, setting things up, cleaning up, DJing, making music etc. There are a thousand ways to contribute and it will be amazing.
Below is a link to an excel sheet where you can enter what kind of things you like to contribute or what kind of duties you are fine with doing. Also there is a possibility to enter any needed equipment for your planned activities (e.g. paint if you want to teach painting to others) and if there is something you always wanted to do or learn, but you never had the chance for it, add it to the list of ideas for people what to do.

Sunday night theme dinner and variety show: Walpurgisnacht (Beltane/May day)
On Sunday night (30.4.) it is Beltane and we want to dress up and celebrate it accordingly. There will be a extravagant dinner with a variety show/open stage, probably a bonfire and much, much more. Everyone is encouraged to dress up as witches, wizards, demons, familiars, creatures of nature or the fairy world.
We will all have a nice, extensive dinner in several courses that will have intermissions between every course from participants presenting something of their own: Maybe reading, singing, theatre, making music, sharing your poetry or juggling and acrobatics… whatever comes to your mind is welcome to share. You can prepare something before the event or just come up with something during the weekend.
Accommodation and Food
You will be accomodated in the lovely castle Oberbrunn near the Chiemsee. We have 2 to 5 bed rooms with comfortable beds, many of them with view of the alps and a few even with their own bathrooms. If you have certain requirements for accomodation or want to sleep in the same room as a certain person please let us know. Each participant may bring sheets or borrow them from the castle for 5€ (duvets and pillows are already included).
The Castle has a main building with the sleeping rooms, a common room, the kitchen and the chapel. There are pillows available for sitting, but please bring anything you think might improve the atmosphere and comfort. If you bring something please add it to the list.
The castle also has two terraces with view of the alps and a garden. Also, there is an extra building with more double rooms and a yoga room.
Around the castle, all in short walking distance, you can find forests, a lake, a monastry with a nice cafe and much more to explore.
Can I bring my kids or my dog?
Yes you can, but please know, that the event is not designed for children. We will be dancing until late. You are welcome to bring your kids and dog as long as you take responsibility for them yourself.
Please contact us directly to figure things out. It is also possible to pay a reduced price for kids (dogs obviously don’t have to pay).
Every day, you will get breakfast/brunch, afternoon tea including yummy cake, dinner (cooked and warm) and even a ‘midnight soup’. All food is vegetarian and there are vegan options.
Throughout the day snacks, water, tea and coffee will be available. Depending on the amount of donations we will also offer juice and drinks.
Alcohol is not included, but we will be buying some beer and wine that you can get from us at a very reasonable price.
If you have any interesting ideas for food, let us know. We are always open to suggestions.
Price and registration
How much money shall I contribute and where does it go?
The minimum amount to contribute is 100€, but any additional funds will allow us to make a better event and give discounts for people with lower income or from far away with high transportation costs. If you cannot afford the minimum of 100€ please get in touch with us and we will find a way for things to work.
It would be great if you can pay between 100€-120€.
The money shall be transfered by bank transfer and you will be notified about details as soon as you are registered. If you cannot do SEPA transfer, just let us know.
Due to high demand on the tickets, there is a two week payment deadline. If we do not receive your payment within two weeks you will lose your reservation. If you have problems paying within this time, please get in touch.
The event is a non-profit event. All the money you contribute will go directly back into the event, so the more money we have the better everything gets for everyone. We will be spending the money on rent for the castle (which sadly has increased since last time), food and drinks, equipment needed for the dancing and activities, decorations, making spaces magical and live musicians.
If you have any ideas for making the event even more awesome, but that would need things to buy etc. don’t hesitate to contact us and we will see if it is in the budget. Also if you have ideas for musicians, who we should invite, we are very happy. Of course many participants will bring their own instruments too. 😉
You can register as a lead, follow, switch or non-dancer. Just because you registered in one role does not mean you must not dance in the other one if you want to, but we are trying to keep the balance of leads and follows as even as possible.

For the first event, tickets were sold out after 10 hours and since it was such a big success, we assume that it will be even faster this time. So be fast to get your tickets.
How to get there
There are several ways to get to the castle with public transportation. The closest international airport is Munich airport. Also consider the Nuremberg airport (especially for Ryanair flights from London) as there will be some people coming from there by car.
From Munich airport you take the local train to the main station Munich and the Meridian (a local train) to Bad Endorf or Traunstein. Bad Endorf is closer to be picked up from. From Traunstein there is a bus to the event, but we recommend organizing a pick up from Bad Endorf as it is much faster.
